If your email servers require DMARC and have a policy set to reject or quarantine emails that do not pass DMARC, you may encounter bounced/undeliverable emails. This is because Certain's system does not support DMARC. We currently use DKIM for email. In order to prevent bounced emails, you will need to have the Account setting in Certain set to use the Default Certain address as the FROM address of emails, and not the Event Contact. Keep in mind that, even with this setting, the ReplyTO address of the email will still be the Event Contact. Therefore, if Registrants reply to emails sent out, their replies will go to the Event Contact email address.
Configuring an Event to use the Default Certain FROM address
- Navigate to Account Settings > Implementation > Security Settings.
- Under Other Settings, select Use firstname.lastname@example.org next to Set Email FROM value to:
- Click Save.
