Step 1: Add a Data Source
As an example, set up pulling in data from the Eloqua Marketing Automation system. Name your data source: Eloqua Data Source, add description information and select API Polling from the drop down menu. Press the SAVE button. This will allow us to set up a recurring data pull from this 3rd party system into Signal, part of the Certain Platform.
Step 2: Set the Response Schema Setup
Step 3: Assign the Data Source
Schedule a new API Fetch: give a name to the schedule, select the data source from the drop down menu, and click the SAVE button.
Step 4: Assign the Inbound Flow
Select the data source "Ingest Eloqua Contacts" from the drop down menu. Click the SAVE button.
Step 5: Schedule when to automatically pull in the data
Make selections such as daily or hourly, a specific time and time zone. And save the schedule. We’ve scheduled it to fetch the data daily, starting today, 7am Alaskan time. The data will be pulled into the Certain Platform on the schedule you determine. You do this once, and it automatically occurs for the schedule you set.
