Create a New Profile, or
Edit a Profile
To create or modify a profile record:

Enter information in the necessary fields

Upload a profile picture if required
-
Click Save
Certain stores both standard and custom data fields for profiles. (Custom profile fields are set up by an Administrator in Account Settings > Registration > Profile Data.)
To delete an existing profile, click the Delete button to remove the profile from the database.
(For a new profile, the Delete button is only shown once the profile has been saved.)

Find Profiles – Search for profiles, which you can then edit.

Import Profiles – Import profiles from Salesforce, if your account is connected to a Salesforce.com account.
Note: An administrator is able to "anonymize" a profile on request, such as under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

Gender – Gender of profile – Male or Female

Date of Birth – Use the calendar to select the date of birth, or enter it in mm/dd/yyy format

Profile Picture – Click Browse to upload a headshot photograph.
Recommended: A high-resolution photograph, at least 60 x 60 pixels, so that it is clear wherever used.
Maximum size: Image cannot be larger than 600 x 600, or 4MB.
Where used: The profile picture is available as a Dynamic Data Field (DDF) in badges, forms (where the attendee can upload their photo), emails, or in the Main Content widget in Event Views, for example.
It is also displayed at the top of each Registrations page for the person when they have registered for an event, such as on Registrations > Profile, Registrations > Email, etc. -
Username – A unique user name for this profile to enable them to register for future events without re-entering their information.
If the Username field is left blank when you add a new profile, the system creates one consisting of the account code + the Profile Unique ID (a unique number identifying the profile in the account, added automatically when the profile is first saved).
Note: Maximum length: 25 characters.
The attendee uses their Username to log in to an Event View. They can change their Username and/or Password if a ChangeUsername/Password widget is included on an event view page. -
Password – Secret password, used with the Username for access to a registration site or event view.

External Profile ID – The profile's unique ID from an external system. Maximum length: 100 characters.
(Can be set automatically by an import, e.g. from Marketo or Eloqua, or via an export of existing profiles to Marketo or Eloqua, via a job on Plan > Configure > Connectors or Account Settings > Implementation > Connectors.) -
Source of Profile – Displays the name of an external system from which the profile was imported, e.g. Eloqua, Marketo, or Salesforce. Cannot be edited. Nothing is displayed if the profile was not the result of an import.

Phone – Main phone number.
Note that when you select a Country for a profile, the international dialling code for that country is added to the beginning of the Phone field. (For example, for the United Kingdom that is 44.) -
Fax – Fax number.

Mobile – Mobile phone number or pager number.

Other Phone – Alternate phone number (e.g. evening phone).

Web Address – URL for company or individual's website.
-
Facebook – URL for the profile's Facebook account.

LinkedIn – URL for the profile's LinkedIn account.

Google+ – URL for the profile's Google+ account.

Twitter – The profile's Twitter handle, including the @ symbol. Example: @Certain
Assistant Info

CC email to Assistant? – Select this check box if the profile wants to have all email correspondence copied to their assistant (for example, if the assistant handles the profile's registration and travel plans).

Assistant Name – Assistant's full name.

Assistant Email – Assistant's email address (used to cc email correspondence if that option is selected above). Maximum length = 100 characters.

Assistant Phone – Assistant's phone number.
Mailing Address

Address – Mailing address.

Address Line 2 – Line 2 of mailing address.

Address Line 3 – Line 3 of mailing address.

Address Line 4 – Line 4 of mailing address.

City – Mailing address city.

Region – Optional region for non-US addresses.

State/Province – State for U.S.A. or Australia, Province for Canada, or County for United Kingdom. Codes available depend on Country selected.

cc email to Additional? – Select this check box if the profile wants to have all email correspondence copied to their additional contact.

Additional Name – Additional person's name (could be a spouse or PA, for example).

Additional Email – Additional person's email address. Maximum length = 100 characters.

Additional Phone – Additional person's phone number.

Websites - Set Profile as a Website User? – Enables access to account-level websites (set up in Events > Websites). For this check box to be selected, the profile's email address must be unique in the account shown.

User Notes – Planner notes relating to this profile.
Warning: Do not attempt to record Credit Card information in the Notes field, including the card number, expiration date, or card security code (CSC, also known as CVC, CVV, CAV, or CID).
This is sensitive security information, which the Certain Platform will remove automatically.
