Guidelines for Creating Links
The Integration Link is a powerful feature which enables you to customize links for a wide variety of requirements. The links you create in this area may include:
-
Event-specific data fields with information from Event Details, including the Contact and Location areas.
-
Custom Event Data fields. Use custom event data when you need to pass data specific to an external application. Certain enables you to create custom questions where you can store this kind of information.
-
The Form ID for URL field (listed at the end of the Append drop-down menu). The value for this field comes directly from the end of the Form URL, similar to: PKformID=0x588062d92 where the string after the equals sign is the Form ID.
-
Using these tools in conjunction with standard HTML hyperlink syntax, you can create links that direct attendees to external Web sites.
-
Use the Integration links examples page to get started building your own bridges to external sites and applications.
Note:
Once defined, Integration Links can be inserted as dynamic fields into email messages and on the Forms Confirmation" style="display: inline; font-family: Lato, Verdana, Arial, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(22, 7, 255); text-decoration: underline;"confirmation page of a registration form, for example.
Because they include information about the individual registrant, Integration links are only available in places where the registrant is known. For example, they're not accessible from the Form Entry page or Websites page, since those locations are not related to a particular registrant.
Previewing a Web Integration Link
To preview the Web Integration link, go to Registration > Overview and click the link listed under One Click Actions.
If the link isn't shown there:
-
Return here to Plan > Configure > Integration.
-
Check and/or edit these settings in the Integration Link Details section:
Show as One-Click Action (Registration Overview) – This option should be selected (checked).
Web Address – Make sure this is a valid, working URL. -
Click Save.
-
Return to Registration > Overview and select a Web link to preview the web site.
