Printers
We recommend the following printers for printing on-demand badges with Certain Check-in or Certain Kiosk.
Apple iOS
The only printers that iOS devices work with are the AirPrint-certified printers that Apple lists here.
Windows 10
Since Windows 10 devices (tablets, laptops, and desktops) tend to have USB ports, any printer can be connected to the device via a USB cable.
Though any printer should work, you may have to go through Control Panel > Printer settings to configure the badge to print correctly.
Devices
-
iOS – We recommend iOS devices that have 64-bit chip architectures (Apple A7 chip and onwards).
These are iPhone 5S and later, iPad Air and later, and iPad Mini 2 and later. -
Microsoft – We recommend Microsoft Surface devices.
Devices We Use
Within our office and for acceptance testing we use:
– iPad Air (running iOS 11)
– iPhone 7 (running iOS 10)
– iPad Mini 2 (running iOS 9)
– Microsoft Surface Pro 3 (running Windows 10)
