Example: "Buyer Badge" or "Exhibitor Badge". -

The list to choose from is of those set up on Event Setup Attendee Types" style="display: inline; font-family: Lato, Verdana, Arial, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(22, 7, 255); text-decoration: underline;"Event Setup > Attendee Types that don't yet have on-demand badges assigned to them.
Note: Only one on-demand badge per attendee type, so that Check-In will know which badge to print for an attendee.
Click Save.
If you're creating a new badge, the Badge Layout screen described next opens for you to complete the details.
If you're copying a badge, you return to the list which now includes your new badge. To change anything else in the copy, you must then edit the new badge (by clicking in the list).
Badge Layout
-
Choose Your Badge Size –
Click one of the standard sizes illustrated, such as 3.9" x 2.4" or 3.8" x 5.6";
or click Create Custom Size to specify your own size. (Maximum 8.5" x 11", minimum 1" x 1".)
Note: If you create a custom size, it is then available for use on other badges. -
Basic Elements – Click dynamic data fields (DDFs) to add them to the layout.
There you can drag them into position, resize them, and format the text.
Note: When an on-demand badge is printed, text will auto-size by default if the selected font size would make the text too large to fit. You don't have to select anything to enable that (as you do in Badges and Barcodes Badges" style="display: inline; font-family: Lato, Verdana, Arial, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(22, 7, 255); text-decoration: underline;"standard badges). -
Barcode – Select a barcode from the list of those set up on Manage > Badges and Barcodes > Barcodes. That adds the barcode to the layout where you can move and resize it.
-
Image – Click to select an image from your PC to add it to the badge, where you can move and resize it.
Note: The image is not stored in a "library" for selection elsewhere, it is only a part of this badge. -
Static Text – Click to add a text box to the badge. Type in the text box, drag and resize it, and format the text, just as you can for the data fields in Basic Elements above.
-
Layout – Shows the badge layout as you build it.
Click Previewto display a pop-up preview with the field names (such as "[Profile Badge Name]") replaced by the values (such as "John Citizen") from the first attendee record.
Note: It is the first record, regardless of anything else, so the attendee's attendee type may not match that of the badge you are viewing.
Note: A barcode in the preview is just a generic illustration, it does not include the actual data.
Click Save to save the layout and return to the Badges List.
