In Certain you can create events in a number of ways. From the Event List, there are three ways to start a new event. See the table below for the three methods and their advantages.

Create an event from scratch if this is first event in your account, or if the event you need to create differs significantly from other events you have built in Certain.

The Copy Existing Event Wizard facilitates quick event deployment, and is useful if you need to build an event that's similar to another one already in your account.

Templates enable you to rapidly deploy events if you have several types of events you run periodically, which have a set of predefined characteristics that tend not to change from event to event, such as:
An event marked as a template on the Plan > Configure > Options tab will appear on the Templates tab in the Event List. Use this area to catalog the event types you commonly use so that you can save them for rapid deployment. You can easily launch a version of the Copy Existing Event Wizard from this page by clicking Select Template.
