A Website is used to convey information to the public or to groups of attendees. Event websites are commonly used to:
-
Encourage potential attendees to register for an event
-
Display information regarding the event or location to attendees
-
Display password-protected information to specific groups of attendees (exhibitors, speakers, invited participants, etc.)
-
Distribute event material (class notes, presentation slides, proceedings) to attendees on demand
Like forms, websites depend on their event's setup information, and they cannot exist outside an event.
Websites
A website can consist of one or more major pages. These can include links can to minor pages, pop-up windows, and other websites, greatly expanding the overall size of the event website.
Below are the default titles of the standard pages in a new website. You choose which of them to include, and their name, and edit and configure them however you wish.
-
Login Page – Provides password protection for a Website; it appears to the viewer each time they go to the website. After successfully passing the challenge on the login page, they don't see this page again until they have logged out of the site.

-
Activities – Special activities (dinners, tours, etc.) within an event. Again, you set these up in Event Setup > Agenda, perhaps as agenda items of type "Meal" or "Tour".
