The Power Template builds your event website from content files and display fields. This article shows how to start an event from the template and where you edit it.
Create an event from the Power Template
- On your Event List, click Add a New Event, then Go To Template Browser.
- Find your Power Template and click Select Template. Template names depend on your account, for example Power Template Option 1 (one content file) or Power Template Option 2 (a separate content file for each section). If you don't see a Power Template, contact your Certain CSM.
- Enter the Event Information and click Next.
- Enter the Event Attributes & Goals and click Next.
- You can edit the Additional Event Information now or later. Editing later gives a cleaner view. Click Next.
- Click Finish.
Where you edit the Power Template
You edit the site in two places: Display Fields and Content Blocks. Go to Plan > Event Setup > Content Display, then choose Display Fields or Content Blocks in the left menu.
Display fields
Display fields hold the main content for each section.
For Option 1 (one content file):
- Branding Content File xlsx
- Event Content File xlsx
- Select Navbar Menu Items
- Style Options
- About Content
- Form Content
For Option 2 (a content file for each section):
- Banner File xlsx
- Agenda Content File xlsx
- Speaker Content File xlsx
- Sponsors Content File xlsx
- Venue Content File xlsx
- FAQ Content File xlsx
- Header Logo
- Brand Color 1, Brand Color 2 and Brand Color 3
- Navbar Background Color and Navbar Item Color
- Footer Background Color and Footer Text Color
- Link Color and Link Color on mouseover
Content blocks
Your account's content blocks are listed under Content Blocks, in Account Content Blocks. Two kinds matter for the Power Template:
- Section blocks start with (Power), for example (Power) ACC - About or (Power) ACC - Agenda Section. They build the site's sections and load its scripts. Don't rename or delete them.
- Layout blocks start with Template |, for example Template | 2 Column Content with Text - Image L, Template | 3 Column Content with Icon and Template | Accordion Content. They're ready-made layouts you can use for extra content.
The exact list depends on your account.
