Speakers created under Master Sessions will automatically be assigned to any new and existing instances within the session. If the session already has a speaker assigned to it, the system will no longer allow you to add speakers within the instances. If you want to set a Speaker for a single session instance, you must expand one of the instances and assign a speaker there.
Adding a Master Speaker
- Navigate to Manage > Speakers and Sessions > Sessions.
- Click Add New to create a new session.
- Fill in all required fields, set No of instances to 3, then click Save.
- Click the pencil icon to edit the session you just created.
- Click Add a Speaker
- Make sure to add them at the Session level, not in an individual Instance
- See the sample screenshot below
- Click Save.
Adding a Speaker to an Instance
- Navigate to Manage > Speakers and Sessions > Sessions.
- Click Add New to create a new session.
- Fill in all required fields, set No of instances to 3, then click Save.
- Expand an Instance and find the Speaker field.
- Assign Speaker(s) and click Save.
This same functionality applies when importing by adding Master Speaker and Instance Speaker columns to your import file. If your instance comes up with different Speakers, we recommend leaving the Master Speaker field blank on your import file.
