Step 4: Add Options
After you create and begin to customize your first registration form it is a good idea to adding additional functionality from Certain's optional functional areas:

Use the agenda module to include activities, breakout sessions, meals, tours, and items as options on registration forms. Agenda items usually have one or more of the following:
Creating a large number of agenda items can be tedious due to the large number of fields that may need to be filled in. To speed the process, create one item in Certain and then export it to Microsoft Excel®. You can use the spreadsheet to create your agenda items and then re-import the data as tab-delimited text. Use the Payments module to set up payment collection on your forms. You may configure credit card processing, checking, P.O. payments, and internal billing numbers. Be sure to check in with your Certain Account Manager if you wish to accept credit card payments online. Your Account Manager can help you set up a connection to one of the e-commerce gateways that Certain supports.

Logic rules can display certain elements on the form if specific conditions are met. For instance, you might display a question "What will be the subject of your talk?" only if the Attendee type of the registrant is "Speaker". You can also use logic to cause certain changes to happen behind the scenes. For example, you could create a rule that applies a discount to the registrant's balance due if the correct promotional code is entered on the form. If you wish an item to always take effect, you can use the condition "If One = One". Since this condition is always true, the rule will always take effect.

The Additional Registrations feature enables a registrant to register more people for an event. If you charge fees for the event, the primary registrant and all additional registrants are billed and paid for together. This is especially useful if you wish to enable employees of the same company or organization to register together or if you wish to track guests as full registrations within Certain.

Custom HTML sections enable you to add additional text and graphics to the form, either as part of a page or alone on a page. You can configure up to 20 Custom HTML sections for inclusion in a form. Remember that you may be able to use the section header of any section already in the form page layout.

Keep in mind that you may create additional registration forms. This is a good idea if:

You need to run certain registrants through a distinct registration process (such as Exhibitors, VIPs, etc.) separate from other registrants.

You want to enable registrants to cancel themselves online.

You want to create an easy way for your staff to enter phone or email registration data in a format that displays options that you wish to hide from ordinary registrants.
