Step 7: Get Ready for Registrants
Before you start accepting registrations online, run through the checklist below to make sure you are ready.
Have you... |
What to do |
Tested your forms? |
Run through the registration process several times, making sure there are no errors. If you are using multiple forms, check all forms. Be sure to test all scenarios to make sure that all areas of the form work correctly. Make sure the form open and close dates correspond to the same dates you wish to enable people to register.
|
Tested websites? |
Make sure Websites display the correct information, spell check, and make sure all links work correctly.
|
Tested links from external Web sites or e-mails? |
Make sure the links work. If you receive any errors while trying to click links you've placed in your external Web site or e-mail invitations, troubleshoot them before publicizing them with your potential attendees.
|
Decided who will monitor registrations? |
Pick someone in your organization to login to Certain on a daily basis and check on the registration data you are collecting.
|
Tested payment processing? |
If you are using PayPal or other online payment processing for credit cards for your event, make sure you run through an actual credit card payment and check to see that the money appears in your merchant bank account. This will ensure that the complete e-commerce setup is working correctly.
|
Made sure that attendee info is showing up properly? |
When you run test registrations through the forms, make sure the details are showing up on the Registrations tab inside Certain. Review the details and become familiar with the process of finding and editing registration data.
|
Been trained? |
Certain Software offers free, weekly training over the Internet to help you become familiar with Certain.
