Overview
The Sessions page in Greet gives you visibility into every session synced from Certain, along with tools to search, sync, create, edit, manage check-ins, manage registrations, and delete sessions. This article covers each part of the page so your team knows what to do before and during the event.
Getting to the Sessions Page
From the Dashboard and Events list, click the event name to open its Overview page. Then click Sessions in the left sidebar.
The Sessions Table
The main table shows every session Greet has synced from Certain, with the total count in the header. Each row includes:
- Session name
- Time (start and end times)
- Location
- Capacity (the registration cap)
- Registrations (how many attendees are currently registered)
- Check-ins (count of checked-in attendees)
- Status (shows Open for sessions currently accepting check-ins)
Searching and Syncing
Search
Use the search bar to find a session by name when the list runs long. The list filters as you type.
Sync from Integration
Click Sync from Integration in the top-right toolbar to pull the latest session data from Certain on demand. Greet syncs continuously in the background, but a manual sync is useful to confirm a last-minute addition from Certain shows up before the event begins.
Creating a Session
Click Add Session in the top-right toolbar to open the Create Session modal. Fill in the following fields:
- Session Name
- Description (optional context that registrants will see)
- Location
- Start Time and End Time
- Capacity (leave empty for unlimited, or enter the max number of attendees)
Toggle Restrict to Pre-Registered on to allow only pre-registered attendees to check in. Turn it off to allow walk-ins.
Click Save Session to add it to the list.
Per-Row Actions
Every session row has a : (kebab) icon on the left. Click it to open an action menu with four options.
Edit Session
Select Edit Session to open the Edit Session modal. It shows the same fields as Add Session, prefilled with the current values. Update what you need (most often Start Time, End Time, Location, or Capacity for a room change), then click Save Session to commit. Click Cancel or the × to close without saving.
Manage Check-ins
Select Manage Check-ins to open a side panel for that session. The panel defaults to the Check-ins tab, which lists all registrants along with a Check In button next to each name. Click Check In to mark that attendee as present for this specific session.
Manage Registrations
Select Manage Registrations when an attendee needs to be added to a session they didn't pre-register for. The same side panel opens, this time defaulting to the Registrations tab. Click + Register next to an attendee's name to add them to the session's roster.
Delete Session
Select Delete Session from the kebab menu. A confirmation modal appears. Click Delete Session to confirm, or Cancel to keep it.
Troubleshooting
If a session you expect to see is missing, click Sync from Integration to pull the latest data from Certain. If it still doesn't appear, confirm the session exists and is correctly configured in Certain. Session data flows from Certain into Greet, so structural changes (adding or removing sessions) should be made in Certain first.
