Logic Rules help create a unique experience for attendees going through the Form. Logic will allow you to display, hide, or assign items, and event trigger emails or error messages based on actions taken through the Form.
Example Scenario
You may have a number of attendees, but based on the number of days they attend, they will be assigned different fees. Therefore, we will need to work with:
- 3 Attendee Types
- Full Conference, 2 Day, or 1 Day
- Fees
Steps to take
- Build the Attendee Types.
- Attendee X, Attendee Y, Attendee Z
- Build Agenda Items.
- Fees for the Different Options (Attendee X Full Conference, Attendee X 2 Day, Attendee 1 Day, etc.)
- Build Questions.
- How many days will you attend? (Full Conference, 2 Day, 1 Day)
- Build the Logic Rules to assign the correct fee based on the Registrant's Attendee Type and Answer.
- Logic 1 Section 1
- IF Attendee Type = X AND Question Days Attending = Full Conference
- Assign Agenda Item Attendee Type X Full Conference
- Logic 1 Section 2
- IF Attendee Type = X AND Question Days Attending = 2 Day
- Assign Agenda Item Attendee Type X 2 Day
- Logic 1 Section 3
- IF Attendee Type = X AND Question Days Attending = 1 Day
- Assign Agenda Item Attendee Type X 1 Day
- Logic 1 Section 1
- Add this Logic Rule to the Online Form Sequence under Plan > Forms > Setup > Page Layout, placing it on the same page as the Attendee Type Section and the 'How Many Days' Question, so that once the page is submitted with the accompanied data - the correct fees will be assigned.
