You can add your own text, links or HTML to the top and bottom of every registration page. First, know which display your event uses.
Primary Display or Extended Display?
Both are under Plan > Configure > Display. They control the look of everything around your content: forms, websites and emails sit inside the display, between its header and footer.
- Primary Display is for anyone, no code needed. You set colors, fonts, page width and alignment, and add a custom header and footer to every page. The header and footer can hold text, images, links and data fields.
- Extended Display is for people who know HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You write the HTML shell that wraps around every form and website page, which gives you full control of the design.
Which one should you use?
- Use Primary Display when you want your colors, a banner and a header or footer. That covers most events, and anyone on your team can change it later.
- Use Extended Display when you need a custom layout or styling that Primary Display can't do, and someone on your team can write and maintain the code. For custom design work, contact Certain Professional Services.
Using both?: Some Primary Display settings overwrite the Extended Display. (The warning on the page calls it "Enhanced Display.") If your event has an Extended Display design, keep Do not overwrite enhanced settings selected whenever you save the Primary Display, so the custom design isn't replaced.
Add a footer link or text (Primary Display)
- Go to Plan > Configure > Display > Primary Display.
- Under Custom Header and Footer, find Footer - Custom HTML or Text to display at the bottom of every page.
- Add your text or link, then Save.
The header works the same way, with its own field in the same section. If your event uses an Extended Display design, add the footer to its HTML shell instead, or ask whoever built it.
NOTE: Using a Power Template site? Header, footer and section layout on Power Template sites are set in the template's content file and display fields instead. Contact Certain Professional Services for layout changes beyond what the template offers.
Next step: Preview the form after saving.
