A question can exist in your event and still not show on a form. Check these in order.
1. Is the question on the form?
Creating a question and placing it on a form are two separate steps. A question you've created doesn't show on any form until you add it to a question section.
- To see the questions in your event, go to Plan > Event Setup > Questions.
- The Custom Questions page lists every question in your event, with its type and name. If the question isn't here, create it first.
- Now place it. Go to Plan > Forms, edit the form, and click Questions in the left menu. Click the pencil icon next to the question section.
- Look under Show these Questions in this Section. If it says You have not selected any Questions to Display, the section is empty and shows nothing. Click Choose Additional Questions, check your question, and click Use These Questions. The question now shows under Questions Chosen. Then click Save. If you click Save without clicking Use These Questions first, the question isn't added.
2. Is the question set to show online?
- Go to Plan > Event Setup > Questions and click the pencil icon next to the question.
- Scroll to Display Settings and check Show online?. The choices are No, Optional, Require, Read-Only and Hidden.
- If it's set to No or Hidden, registrants won't see it. Hidden keeps the question on the page as a hidden field, so a value can still be saved without the registrant seeing it. Change it to Optional or Require (or Read-Only if they should see it but not change it), then click Save.
3. Is the section in the form's page layout?
- Edit the form and click Setup in the left menu. Scroll to Page Layout.
- Page Layout has two lists. Available Sections on the left are sections that exist but aren't on the form. Online Form Sequence on the right is what registrants actually see, in order.
- If your question section is only in Available Sections, select it, click the right arrow to move it into the Online Form Sequence, and click Save.
4. Is it for guests or additional registrants?
Additional registrants (guests someone registers along with themselves) go through their own page sequence, separate from the one in Setup. A section in the main sequence doesn't automatically show for them.
- Edit the form and click Addl Regs in the left menu.
- Check that the question section is in this page's Online Form Sequence. If it isn't, move it over from Available Sections and click Save.

5. Does a display condition or logic rule hide it?
- Section display conditions. On the form's Questions page, the Display Condition column shows which sections have one. Open the section and look at Display Conditions. Always display shows the section to everyone. Display ONLY if these conditions are met shows it only to registrants who match, for example a certain attendee type. Make sure your test registrant matches.
- Logic rules. Logic only runs if a Logic section (for example Logic 1) is in the form's Online Form Sequence. If it's only in Available Sections, its rules don't run.
Inline display only takes one condition: Inline display logic can show or hide a question based on one condition only. If a question should show only when two things are true (for example, the attendee type is Speaker AND they answered Yes to a travel question), inline display can't do it. Put the question in its own question section on the next page and set that section's display condition instead.
Whole page blank: If a registrant sees an empty page instead of a missing question, see How to Remove a Blank Page Generated by Logic
6. Is the question's display text broken?
The text registrants see comes from the question's Display for Reg Form box, in the Details area at the top of the question's edit screen (shown in the step 2 screenshot). An unclosed HTML tag in that text, such as a `
`, can stop the question from showing. Fix the tag or use plain text, then click Save.
Next step: Register a test attendee who matches the conditions and walk through every page of the form.
