Your Express home base, and the four areas everything else is built from
What this article covers: A quick tour of Certain Express and the four areas it's built from, Accounts, Events, Profiles, and Brand Kit. By the end, you'll know your way around well enough to start building a live, branded event.
Welcome to Express
Express is where you build your event page, collect registrations, and see who's coming, all in one place. This guide walks you through the basics, so you always know where to find things.
Your dashboard
Every time you open Express, you land here first. It's your home base, showing what's happening across your account right now.
Across the top sits Express Architect. Describe your event in plain language, and it builds the whole thing for you. We'll cover that in a later guide.
Below it, four cards answer the questions you'd otherwise go hunting for. Account Pulse shows your live registration count across every event. Jump Back In lays out your week by day, so you can click straight into what you were working on. Brand Identity shows which brand kit your new events will use. Capacity flags any event that's getting close to full.
Accounts
Click Accounts on the rail at the left. Everything in Express lives in one of four areas, and that rail is how you reach them.
Accounts comes first. If you run events for more than one team, brand, or region, each one is its own account, and this is where you switch between them. The panel next to the rail lists every account you can reach, with a filter box up top if you have a lot of them. Your current account always shows at the top of the screen, so you can check where you are at a glance.
Events
Click Events on the rail. This is the second area, and it's where you'll spend most of your time.
The panel lists your events, grouped into In Progress and Upcoming. Each card shows the event name, its date, how many people have registered, and the capacity you set. A green LIVE badge means that event is open and taking registrations right now.
Click any event, and it opens on the right with everything about it in one place: its registration form, its emails, its attendee list, and its reports.
Profiles
Click Profiles on the rail. This is your audience across your whole account, not just one event. When someone registers for any of your events, they show up here automatically, so this list builds itself over time.
Come here to see who you've reached before, and to invite a group of them to something new.
Brand Kit
Click Brand Kit on the rail. This is the fourth area, and it holds your colors, logos, and fonts. You can keep more than one kit, so a different brand or region can have its own.
Set this up once, and every new event picks it up automatically. That's what makes your registration pages and emails look like they came from you, not a generic template. We'll cover setting yours up in the next few guides.
The whole picture
That's the whole product: Accounts, Events, Profiles, and Brand Kit. The rail never changes, so wherever you are, those four areas stay one click away.
The pattern repeats everywhere in Express: pick an area on the rail, pick an item in the list beside it, then work on it in the large area to the right.
Over the next few guides, you'll set up your brand, build your first event, check your registration form and confirmation email, open the event for registrations, and pull your attendee list. Watch them in order the first time through.
Where to go next
You have two places to go from here. Express has a Learn area built in, which you can open from your initials at the bottom of the rail. And this guide, along with the rest of the Express guides, lives right here in our Support Articles.
