How you bring back a cancelled session depends on which session type your event uses: Standard sessions or Conference sessions. To check which one you have, see the FAQ below.
Standard sessions
A cancelled Standard session can't be edited or reinstated. It moves to the Cancelled Sessions panel at the bottom of Manage > Speakers and Sessions > Sessions. That panel only lists the session's name, code and type, with no edit or action icons. To offer the session again, create it as a new session.
Conference sessions
A cancelled Conference session stays in your session list with the status Cancelled, so you can reinstate it.
- Go to Manage > Speakers and Sessions > Sessions. To find it quickly, open the Status filter and check Cancelled.
- Click the edit (pencil) icon on the session.
- Click Session Status in the row of buttons at the top of the Edit Session window and choose Qualified.
- Under Instances, click the session instance to open it, then enter the Start Date, Start Time and End Time.
- If the session has a fee, scroll to Session Fees and enter the fee expiration date and time.
- Click Save. The session is now Scheduled.
- Edit the session again, click Publish in the same row of buttons at the top, choose the attendee types, and click Save.
If it won't save: The usual cause is a missing time on the session fee. Fill in both the date and time.
FAQ
How do I know which session type my event uses?
Go to Manage > Speakers and Sessions > Setup > Session Layout and look at the button at the top right of the page. If it says Upgrade Layout to Conference Sessions, your event uses Standard sessions. If it says Downgrade Layout to Standard Sessions, your event uses Conference sessions.
Just look, don't click: Clicking the Upgrade or Downgrade button changes your event's session layout. Use it only to check which one you have.
Conference events also show extra items under Manage > Speakers and Sessions, such as Speaker Portal and Session Reviews.
Do registrants who had the session get it back?
No. Reinstating the session doesn't re-add anyone. Assign it to registrants again, or let them add it on the form.
Next step: Preview the form to check the session shows for the right attendee types.
